I'm sitting here watching the evening news (it's something I do every night because I have the life of a 70 year old) and they just listed the top 4 most asked for Valentine's Day gifts. The first being a date night the second a smartphone (really?!), and the others being the traditional chocolate and flowers. I can't get over the fact that smartphones are acceptable Valentine's Day gifts. People these days. Tsk tsk.
Here's what I'd ask for. Books. I love books and finally somebody understands me. FaithWords is my Valentine and yours this year. FaithWords is an imprint of Hachette Book Group that includes fiction, so you can just bet they know why inspirational romance is so great. They just get us when they say things like, "Give books, not roses." This year they are offering readers, or those of you who love a reader, a chance to sweeten up your Valentine's Day.
From the acquisitions editor comes this special announcement...

So apparently this just happened according to Entertainment Weekly. Whatever this means for the one off special, I don't know. Could the special be a special Victorian themed episode? Again, I don't know, but whatever it is I will love it and hope you do too!

It's hard to believe that the first month of 2015 is already more than halfway over. My dad definitely knows what he's talking about when he says the older you get, the quicker the time goes by. I hope everyone is getting off to a great new start this year. Are you still holding on to your resolutions? I admit, I didn't make one. Heck, I didn't even stay up to ring in the New Year. Wow. I'm more like the old man than I realized.... I did get a new tablet, so blogging will be a lot easier. As awesome as the Amazon Kindle Fires are, they aren't the best for typing up blog posts! Hopefully, my iPad leads to more fun posts and giveaways for you fantabulous readers. ;-) Here's one of my recent "bookish" Instagram photos that I took with my tablet.

Anyway, there are some new things coming up within the next few days that I think will be of interest to my fellow bookworms. First off, there's going to be a blog tour starting in February for fans of Gothic romances that you will not want to miss. I've read the book that's featured and it is absolutely superb. I have it on good authority that there is going to be a giveaway with a bunch of sweet prizes to celebrate the book's debut too.
